The private healthcare sector in India is providing 65% of major healthcare facilities. In India there is only 22 percent of the health expenditure is publicly funded. This ratio is quite different in some other countries like the USA where healthcare facilities are about 44% public funded, in Sweden, it is about 95%. Health care facility in India is divided into two parts one is the privet sector and second is the government sector. Although two system regulates through a single governing system there is a big difference between private and government hospitals.
In Private hospitals, there is a large amount of investment in latest equipment and healthcare technologies. Private hospitals are better in services and necessary facilities.
With a camper to the government hospital, Private hospitals are much cleaner and they take better care of their patients.
India is a big population country, it is not easy for the Indian government to invest a large amount of money to provide all the health care services. Also, there is not enough government person available to run all the health care centers. Introducing Private health care centers can reduce Borden from the government.
Due to Private hospitals numbers of doctors is now increasing in India. Most of the Private hospitals are also providing medical education like MBBS and BDS. Education in this medical colleges is much better and advanced then government colleges.
Private hospitals are not service oriented they only concern about payments. In a Private hospital payment for medical treatment is too high and not affordable for poor people.
Private hospital refers to unnecessary test and medicines. They recommend only privet test center and expensive medicines which are not affordable for poor peoples.
There are many cases where we have seen that private medicals did unnecessary surgeries.
No doubt privet hospitals are necessary for Indian healthcare facilities most of the critical case like severe injuries and critical diseases like cancer treatment is not available in all government hospitals. it also true that Private hospital is charging a high price which is not affordable for all the peoples but it can be solved if the government of India takes some strong action on unnecessary billing.
